😌 Sedation Dentistry
Calm, comfortable care for anxious kids — safe sedation options that make every visit a positive one.
Helping Anxious Kids Feel at Ease
At Giggles & Grace Pediatric Dentistry, we offer safe sedation options to help anxious children relax during dental visits — so we can deliver effective treatment in a calm, comfortable setting.
Every option we offer meets the safety standards set by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Dr. Pham and our team review every preparation instruction carefully and require children to be in good overall health before sedation.
AAPD-Aligned Safety

Always Child-First
We choose the gentlest option that gets your child the care they need — comfort and trust come first.
Oral Sedation
Drowsy and relaxed — not unconscious. A gentle path for nervous kids.
Oral Sedation
Oral medications help your child relax during their visit — producing "feelings of drowsiness and relaxation" rather than unconsciousness. Your child stays awake but calm.
Benefits of oral sedation:
- 🌿 Reduces anxiety and cooperation difficulties
- 🦷 Enables more effective dental treatment
- 🛡️ Prevents complications from uncontrolled movements in anxious children
🛡️ Safe when administered by a pediatric dentist.
Oral sedation follows the safety guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Nitrous Gas ("Laughing Gas")

Key characteristics:
- 🌬️ Rapidly absorbed through the lungs during normal breathing
- 😊 Produces contentment and relaxation
- ✨ Fully reversible with no lingering effects after treatment
- 👀 Child remains conscious with natural reflexes intact
- 🎚️ Concentration is adjustable throughout the visit
👧 Recommended for:
Patients old enough to understand and cooperate with the procedure.
